As group leader I’d like to welcome you to the Melbourne Writers Group.  Over the years I’ve learned that the most effective way to learn about writing is through contact with other writers.  By and large, it’s a solitary occupation so it’s great to find other people who work at nights and early mornings in order to accomplish their dreams.  Especially in hard times, it’s crucial to do some networking to understand the current marketplace and the future of the industries we are a part of.  Everyone is welcome to come to the meetings to see just what we do.  We encourage you to listen to the workshops and make connections with other writers in your genre.  Hope to see you at our meetings.
